AN ANALYSIS OF A MACHINE-AIDED TRANSLATION SYSTEM.

Abstract

An analysis of a machine-aided translation system was performed. The system analysed is currently in use by the Foreign Technology Division, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Operation of the system is similar to that of a job shop production system, with multiple processing stages, and preemptive priority queueing. A computer simulation program was written to investigate the effects of different management personnel policies on system operation. FORTRAN IV language was used. Examples of program output, detailed program operating instructions, and a complete program listing are included. (Author)
