INVESTIGATION OF MAGNETICALLY INDUCED IONIZATION IN MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC GENERATORS.

Abstract

The report is a brief summary of the experimental investigation of magnetically induced ionization in magnetohydrodynamic generators carried out at the General Electric Company during the past year. Included as appendices are the following technical reports: No. 4, Experimental Study of the Hall Voltage in a Large Hall Parameter, Linear MHD Generator, and No. 5 On the Simulation of Steady One-Dimensional MHD Channel Flow in a Shock Tube.
