FORMULAS AND EPHEMERIDES FOR FIELD OBSERVATIONS ON THE MOON (FORMULY I EFEMERIDY DLYA POLEVYKH NABLYUDENIY NA LUNE).

Abstract

The scientific work under consideration is the first attempt to calculate ephemerides and tables required for observations on the moon's surface. The basis for the choice of a system of fundamental constants of the lunar astronomy is presented. The conclusion for the computation of median and visible places of stars in the lunar equatorial system of coordinates (the calculation of precession, nutation and aberration on the moon) is considered. The lunar-orbital parallax for the ephemeris of the sun and Jupiter is taken into consideration. The basis of the system of computations of time on the moon (lunar siderial days, hours, minutes and seconds) is discussed. Elements of practical lunar astronomy are stated. Two projects of a new device (an automatic theodolite) for the observations on the moon's surface are suggested. A steel ball, which lies on the concavity, is used in this device, instead of an ordinary level. Methods of determining selenographic longitude, latitude and clock corrections are described.
