MATERIALS RESEARCH IN ISRAEL.
Abstract
Basic research in materials in Israel is discussed, including activities at the Technion, Weizmann Institute, and Hebrew University. This area is maintained at a small level in all locations, quite logically, as there is little industry in this field to employ graduates. The addition to the metallurgy staff at the Technion promises to give new impetus to the research program there.
