PRESSURE VESSELS OF NUCLEAR REACTORS PRESTRESSED CONCRETE (TLAKOVE NADOBY JADERNYCH REAKTOTU Z PREDPJATEHO BETONU),

Abstract

The article deals with the engineering aspects of pressure vessels built of prestressed concrete for nuclear reactors and with their technical and economic advantages as compared to vessels built of steel. The article also mentions the experience gained in operating concrete vessels already built. The analysis is concluded by a recommendation to study these problems in conjunction with the implementation of the Czechoslovak program of nuclear energy development. (Author)
