A METHOD OF EVALUATING THE RELATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF FIELD ARMY MEDICAL SUPPORT SYSTEMS - PHASE V.
Abstract
The study developed three computer simulation models for evaluating the relative effectiveness of army medical support systems. The models characterize medical support from casualty generation through treatment at a 1000 bed hospital. Phase I determined the feasibility of using computer simulation models. Phase II and III developed the models, Phase IV adapted them to the air mobility concept, and Phade V modified and extended the models to include the administrative and logistical functions needed to support the professional services. The models operate on an International Business Machines Corporation IBM 7090 computer having at least a 32K memory and 8 tape drives. (Author)
