DETERMINATION OF TRAPPING PARAMETERS IN CRYSTALLINE SOLIDS.

Abstract

The program on determination of trapping parameters in crystalline solids involved the measurement of trapping parameters, analysis of these measurements in terms of existing theories, correlation between different types of measurement on one crystal, refinement in the theory to remove ambiguities attributable to present assumptions, and refinement in experimental methods to make them more compatible with theory. The object was to define a method of analysis which can be used to provide reliable quantities for trap depth, trap density, and trap cross sections. By-products of the investigation include a better understanding of a number of phenomena related to trapping in solids. (Author)
