SSB CRYSTALS, PRECISE AND UNIFORM.
Abstract
The report covers the development of crystal designs for 3.0 MHz and 5.0 MHz precise and uniform single sideband units. Test results of these designs are presented and an engineering analysis is given summarizing the data obtained. The feasibility of the technical requirements, in accordance with the data obtained, is discussed. Conclusions and recommendations are given after a thorough analysis of the engineering study. An appendix is included for crystal processing procedures as well as for final designs. This will enable those who need an optimum design for 3.0 MHz and 5.0 MHz units for single sideband equipment to go directly to this section of the report and find the required information. (Author)
