THE INFLUENCE OF A MAGNETIC FIELD ON THE BOUNDARY SHAPE OF A PENETRATING PLASMA AND ITS FOCUSING.

Abstract

It is shown that a magnetic field may have a significant effect on the boundary shape of a penetrating plasma. The magnetic field may both improve and deteriorate plasma focusing, depending on the configuration of the examined boundary. It turns out that it is advantageous to release plasma through openings far removed from the axis of the source.
