MULTIPLEXING GUIDELINES AND STANDARDS FOR INTERIOR AVIONICS SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The research was to include but not be limited to six specific tasks which are restated as follows: (1) Analyze interior avionics systems of two selected aircraft models to establish a set of representative interface requirements; (2) classify the interface requirements in task (1) by type, voltage range, frequency range, input and output impedance characteristics, and signal isolation requirements; (3) identify those interface requirements which can be implemented through multiplexing; (4) determine the applicability and/or adaptability of multiplexing guidelines and standards of other industries to interior avionics systems; (5) develop new multiplexing technical guidelines in those cases where interface requirements cannot be met through application of the results of task (4); (6) prepare technical guidelines for the application of multiplexing techniques to interior avionics systems.
