Recovery and Internal Oxidation of Columbium and Columbium Alloys

Abstract

Cb-1W, Cb-1Zr, and Cb-1W-1Zr alloys were investigated in terms of tensile properties. Dislocation arrangements developed in the ternary alloy were examined by thin film transmission electron microscopy. The tensile properties of the Cb-1W-1Zr at room temperature, creep properties at 1200C, and the recrystallization temperature were determined for the alloy after various treatments.
