WALL TEMPERATURE AND SPEED RATIO EFFECTS ON MOLECULE FLAT PLATE FLOW FIELDS.

Abstract

The effects of wall temperature and free stream speed ratio on the free molecule number density, velocity, and temperature profiles about a diffusely reflecting flat plate set parallel to the free stream velocity vector are examined. Qualitative trends in number density distributions about the plate with decreasing Knudsen number are additionally obtained by comparison of free molecule results to the transitional flow regime results of Bird.
