SYNTHETIC STUDIES ON PEPTIDES.
Abstract
A series of N-benzyloxycarbonyl- peptide t-butoxyhydrazides has been prepared corresponding to the amino acid sequence of the enzyme Ribonuclease T sub 1. These peptide derivatives span the sequence of the enzyme from positions 48-104. They will be used in an attempt to assemble the polypeptide chain of the entire enzyme (104 residues).
