STUDY OF THIN FILM OXIDE ELECTROLYTES.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to produce and study the properties of doped zirconia films which are potential electrolyte materials for high temperature oxide electrolyte fuel cells. This report contains results of (1) further conductivity measurements on zirconia-scandia films, (2) preparation, chemical analysis and conductivity measurements on zirconia-yttria films, and (3) some preliminary polarization measurements on cell geometry specimens.
