TRAP IR IN-LINE CINESPECTROGRAPH.

Abstract

The IR cinespectrograph is the second of two spectrographs designed, manufactured, calibrated and tested by the General Electric Company for the TRAP 1 Program. The instrument, which is of the slitless variety, uses a grating prism combination to obtain straight-through characteristics. Spectra from the 6800 to 8800 A region is recorded on 35mm film. Primary emphasis in design was placed on ruggedness for aircraft use. This report documents the final design and calibration parameters of this instrument. (Author)
