ALKALI METAL RESISTANT ELECTRICAL DEVICES.

Abstract

Strengths of some materials before and after 850 C potassium exposure are given. Techniques for loading specimen exposure capsules with high purity potassium are described. Electrical resistivity versus temperature measurements are given for rhodium, iridium and nickel clad silver conductors. Techniques and description of ceramic and metal films deposited on substrates are reported. A description is given of 600 C potassium vapor resistant electrical terminal seals fabricated from different potassium vapor resistant materials. A method of preparing aluminum oxychloride and some proposed uses for this material are described.
