EXPERIMENTAL DEMONSTRATION OF ENERGY STORAGE SUBSTATIONS FOR AIRCRAFT ACTUATIONS FUNCTIONS.

Abstract

The first and second quarterly technical reports described the program, its objectives, and the three simulators on which the endurance demonstration tests will be performed. This report covers testing which is in progress on the tilt table simulator and the testing which will begin shortly on the intermittent duty cycle simulator. A third simulator called Continuous Duty Cycle Simulator is planned for operation following completion of the tilt table simulator tests. As part of the Tilt Table Simulator Tests, Operation of the tilt table simulator began during this reporting period. Initial operation was carefully controlled in an attempt to gradually increase speed for the purpose of conducting a resonant vibration frequency search.
