DESIGN OF MICROWAVE FILTER NETWORKS.

Abstract

The two subjects discussed in this report are: (1) tunable upconverter design and (2) the coupling for partially decoupled round rods between parallel ground planes. The latter data should be useful for reducing the size of UHF and microwave components using pairs or arrays of coupled transmission lines. The up-converter section develops design curves for maximum gain over a prescribed tuning range. The curves allow the designer an arbitrary choice of frequencies, and account for the major diode package parasitics. (Author)
