LOW NOISE ANTENNA TECHNIQUES.
Abstract
This report describes the progress in the analysis, development, and evaluation of a subreflector array illumination control technique. The array technique is used in conjunction with a parabolic reflector and feed horn to reduce antenna noise temperature while providing increased antenna efficiency. The areas discussed in this report include: linearly polarized and polarization-independent subreflector array techniques, measurement of surface mismatch parameters, and demonstration-model array and feed design configurations.
