INTEGRATED CIRCUITS FOR COMBAT AREA EQUIPMENT.

Abstract

A compact range-gated filter assembly featuring monolithic integrated circuit chips was developed. Fifty-nine of these assemblies were successfully fabricated and tested during the course of the program. The IC techniques used during the development and fabrication pressed the state-of-the-art. This required solution of numerous problems. The major problems that required solution were related to the use of: nichrome resistors, PNP die, and complex IC packaging. The knowledge gained on this program provides the basis for defining an improved RGF approach in future procurements. (Author)
