FIRESTORM ANALYSIS

Abstract

The following general objectives were specified for this study: (1) Compute the radial inrush wind (vw) associated with a mass fire as a function of time and various fuel bed parameters; (2) Investigate the sensitivity of vw to variations in certain of the fuel bed parameters; (3) Conduct an analytical study of the case in which fire spread is accelerated by wind and/or flame interaction until coalescence.
