A MODEL PROTON ENVIRONMENT ABOVE 4 MEV.

Abstract

The procedure for constructing a proton environment from existing satellite data is described. Four different flux maps are given to describe the 4-15, 15-30, 30-50 and above 50 MeV energy ranges. In each of these energy ranges an exponential energy spectrum is used and the variation of the spectrum with position is taken into account. A comparison of the model environment with experimental data is presented and the results of orbital integrations are shown. (Author)
