SEMICONDUCTOR AND O-TYPE AMPLIFIER INVESTIGATIONS.

Abstract

The contract is concerned with microwave amplifier technique studies with ultimate application to phased array radar devices. Status of the following tasks is reported: (1) General Nonlinear Interaction Theories for Klystrons and Traveling-Wave Devices; (2) Nonlinear Boundary Value Problems in Electron and Plasma Devices; (3) Beam Stability in the Presence of Large RF Signals; (4) Beam Analyzer Studies on Beams Modulated by Large Amplitude RF Signals; (5) Digital Computer Electron Gun Studies; (6) Relativistic Traveling Wave Tube Theory; (7) Helicon Wave Propagation in Solid State Plasmas; (8) Microwave Circuit Considerations for Bulk GaAs Oscillators; (9) Instabilities in Solids; (10) Ohmic Contacts on Semiconductors.
