JUNGLE CANOPY PLATFORM SYSTEM.

Abstract

A system of stainless steel nets and a platform was developed to aid in rapid deployment of troops down through heavy jungle canopies in Vietnam. Data collection was made on all phases of system operation, from hookup, to laying of the nets on top of the jungle canopy, to final retrieval, during a training phase conducted by the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) and during other non-combat operations.
