COSTING A UNIT TRAINING PROGRAM. VOLUME II. DERIVATION OF PARTS COST FACTORS,

Abstract

This report describes an investigation into the feasibility of utilizing The Army Equipment Record System and the Army Master Data File as a source of data for the development of parts cost factors. Such factors, if available, would permit more accurate programming and budgeting than currently exists. This investigation is part of a broader study aimed at improving methods for assessing the costs of unit training programs. A description of the research conducted in this study (other than for the portion documented here) is contained in Volume I, General Systems Description. This study was undertaken in support of the Board of Inquiry on the Army Logistic System.
