MULTICHANNEL ELECTRO-OPTICAL RECORDER FOR THE SYNTHETIC SPECTRUM RADAR

Abstract

The Synthetic Spectrum Radar requires an on-line recorder capable of producing a phase-aligned photographic record of its 100 IF out-put signals. An electro-optical configuration capable of producing such a photographic recording is described. A theoretical analysis of the recorder is provided and leads to expressions relating the light amplitude transmittance of the record to the electrical input signal. Alternate modes of operation of the recorder are discussed.
