THERMALLY AND OXIDATIVELY STABLE POLYBENZOTHIAZOLE RESINS.

Abstract

The maximum accomplishment was a room temperature flexural of 75,200 psi before heat aging and a 600 F flexural 0f 42,200 psi after 192 hrs. at 600 F. This represents a flexural retention of about 56.0%. Under the present contract the maximum of 69,300 psi before heat aging and a 600 F flexural of 59,300 psi after 192 hrs. at 600 F. This represents a flexural retention of about 85.0%. Other laminates were in the 75 to 85 percent range for flexural strength retention after heat aging.
