RESEARCH IN PREPARATION OF ANTISERA TO DIPICOLINIC ACID CONJUGATES.

Abstract

This Final Report describes the work conducted under this program directed toward obtaining antisera specific to dipicolinic acid hapten. The preparation, purification and characterization of the immunizing and heterologous antigens are discussed as are the animal immunizations and specificity testing of the antisera. Immune sera specific to dipicolinic was obtained from rabbits immunized with 4-dipicolinic acid azohuman gamma-globulin. Specificity was demonstrated by hapten inhibition of antigen-antibody precipitation.
