ATS-1 OMNIDIRECTIONAL SPECTROMETER.

Abstract

The omnidirectional spectrometer aboard ATS-1 is described together with analysis of preliminary data during December 1966. This analysis shows that the instrument is operating properly; fluxes and spectra of energetic electrons are found to be in general agreement with the results obtained in this region of space by earlier spacecraft. Several varieties of fluctuations in the electron fluxes are detected. (Author)
