ENHANCEMENT OF THE MAGNETIC REVERSIBILITY OF A NONIDEAL TYPE II SUPERCONDUCTOR BY SURFACE CONTAMINATION.

Abstract

Nonmetallic impurities can enhance the magnetic reversibility of a nonideal type II superconductor while leaving the critical current unchanged in axial magnetic fields. The local increase in k due to surface contamination depresses the critical current of a surface sheath in the mixed state. (Author)
