RADIO SET AN/ARC-98.

Abstract

The AN/ARC-98 is a medium/high-frequency airborne voice and data single-sideband transceiver, the lightweight and compactness of which make possible its installation in virtually all Army aircraft, including the lightest fixed- and rotary-wing types. Its frequency range is 2.0 to 29.9999 mHz, tuned in 0.1-kHz steps for a total of 280,000 channels. The AN/ARC-98 will replace the AN/ARC-102. Type classification is expected in the early part of 1969. (Author)
