RELATIVISTIC ELECTRON BEAM PENETRATING A LONGITUDINALLY INHOMOGENEOUS PLASMA.

Abstract

A system consisting of a relativistic electron beam penetrating an inhomogeneous plasma is considered in the report. The beam is assumed to have a circular crossection and to be infinitely long. The plasma is taken as being of finite length with density decreasing linearly with distance along the direction of the beam.
