DESCRIPTION OF GYROSCOPE TEST LABORATORY TESTS AND EQUIPMENT.

Abstract

The Air Force Missile Development Center Gyroscope Test Laboratory is a facility used for test and evaluation of inertial quality rate-integrating gyroscopes and inertial guidance systems. A brief description of some of the standard tests performed and the major equipment used is presented. Repeatable test conditions can be provided so that performance characteristics of different gyroscopes can be realistically evaluated. Special tests to suit a particular application can be provided.
