BRITISH THEORETICAL MECHANICS COLLOQUIUM (9TH).
Abstract
The Ninth British Theoretical Mechanics Colloquium was held 10-13 April 1967 at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, with over 200 attendees. In addition to the customary 30-minute papers, over 50 of which were presented, the format included three invited lectures and one entire afternoon devoted to discussion groups in rapidly expanding problem areas. Many of the papers were given by graduate students and younger staff members, as is one of the purposes of this series, while other papers were only preliminary reports of research in progress, another purpose of the series. This report includes abstracts of the papers given in the regular sessions and written by the authors. (Author)
