Abstract
This volume describes the survey platforms, data collection systems, staffs and techniques. It goes into detail on data accuracy and calibration procedures and includes a description of the conduct of the survey. Area 1, Norwegian Sea, was the second of seven areas surveyed by Texas Instruments under the present contract. Special emphasis was placed on data quality and calibration procedures. The area was completed in 127 days, including time spent in joint operations with British, Norwegian, and Alpine research vessels. (Author)
