IMPROVED FREQUENCY STANDARD DESIGN.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is two-fold: to improve the performance of the Frequency Standard and to reduce its cost through the further use of integrated circuits and Master Slice design of special purpose integrated circuits. Work is progressing satisfactorily at this date. All circuit and system design has been finalized, with the possible exception of minor circuit changes which might arise when the actual performance of the Master Slice integrated circuits is evaluated. Much of the system has been breadboarded and thoroughly checked out. Particularly extensive testing has been performed on the oscillator oven and oven controls. Some delay has been experienced in the fabrication of the oscillator and output amplifier Master Slice integrated circuits. This temporary delay will result in a program schedule slip if the first networks fabricated do not perform properly.
