COMPUTER IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OCD FALLOUT MODEL.

Abstract

Two fallout prediction programs have been generated for a CDC 3600 computer utilizing Miller fallout models. The Fallout Contour Generator prints contours directly to map scale, suitable for overlays, for a number of fallout parameters. Such parameters as Standard Intensity, Activity Deposition, Mass Deposition, Time of Fallout Arrival, and Time of Fallout Cessation may be plotted. The Fallout History Generator plots graphs of Dose Rate, Cumulative Dose, Activity Deposition, Mass Deposition and Equivalent Radiological Dose as functions of time. Each Fallout History Plot contains the cumulative effects, at a single deposition point, of fallout from a number of weapons. The Fallout Contour Generator and Fallout History Generator programs were utilized in developing fallout data for use in the OCD Five City Study. (Author)
