IMPULSE BIT TESTING OF A THERMAL-STORAGE RESISTANCE-HEATED NITROGEN-PROPELLED THRUSTOR.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of an experimental study to investigate the impulse-bit characteristics of a low-power, thermal-storage, resistance-heated thrustor operating on gaseous nitrogen propellant. Impulse bits were generated in the range of 12000 to .01 lb sub f-sec at propellant temperatures from 530 R to nearly 2400 R. (Author)
