FLUID ACCELEROMETER WITH NO MOVING PARTS.

Abstract

The main goal of the present program is the design, development, fabrication and test of a fluidic accelerometer with a 1.25-inch diameter vortex chamber. The object of the investigation was the search for a very high gain accelerometer containing no moving parts and intended for later use with a feedback network to improve the performance of the accelerometer. The feedback network would continuously rebalance the accelerometer, thus providing better performance than the accelerometer alone.
