NOTES ON MECHANICS IN BELGIUM.

Abstract

This report summarizes mechanics, particularly structural mechanics, at three of the major universities in Belgium: The Free University of Brussels, the University of Loubain, and the University of Liege. There are notable ommissions from this short list. Hence, the title of this report is intended to suggest a brief introduction to the subject, rather than a comprehensive survey. Extensive references to the subject matter are appended. (Author)
