ACOUSTICS ACTIVITIES IN SOME GERMANY INDUSTRY AND UNIVERSITIES.
Abstract
Acoustics research in German university and industrial research laboratories is vigorous and extensive. This report discusses the research at the Technical Universities of Munich, Heidelberg and Aachen, the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt at Braunschweig, the Oceanographic Laboratory at Kiel, Battelle-Institut at Frankfurt and industrial laboratories in Ladenburg, Cologne, Aachen and Frankfurt. The areas of acoustics are architectural acoustics, musical acoustics, absorbers and vibration damping, acoustics and molecular physics, ultrasonic applications in industry, hydroacoustics and geophysics.
