ELECTRONICALLY TUNABLE DIODE OSCILLATOR.

Abstract

The report describes an investigation of the use of yttrium iron garnet to electronically tune a transit-time diode oscillator. Microwave characteristics of a transit-time diode, including equivalent circuit and noise properties, are presented. A prototype capable of being electronically tuned over a 700 MHz frequency band was constructed and preliminary data is presented. (Author)
