A SUMMARY OF CURRENT RESEARCH IN THE MICROWAVE RESEARCH INSTITUTE PROGRAMS.

Abstract

The report is the thirty-first in a series of progress reports, now issued semi-annually, which summarizes the research programs at the Microwave Research Institute of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn from 15 September 1966 to 14 March 1967. The programs involve academic research activity of faculty and students, and cover a broad spectrum ranging from basic theoretical physics, mathematics, and engineering, to experimental investigations involving basic measurement, development of devices, and materials. Each activity reports in summary fashion specific results obtained during the period in question; the sponsoring agency for the activity is individually acknowledged. Contributions are compiled under six headings: Electromagnetics and Optics; Plasma Electrophysics; Solid State and Materials Research; Networks and Waveguide Techniques; Communications; Systems and Control.
