SHIP MOTION ESTIMATION.

Abstract

This thesis proposes a method of identifying the dynamics of ship angular motion at sea as the basis for ship motion estimation. Various sources of information are discussed. Identification algorithms are presented with the results of their stochastic digital simulation. Sensitivity of identification error to sample rate was investigated. A plan for shipboard implementation utilizing a digital computer is presented. (Author)
