COMBUSTION IRREGULARITIES OF SOLID PROPELLANTS.

Abstract

Results are covered pertaining to attempts to increase the versatility of the standard T-burner, including variations in apparatus and technique of operation and new methods of treating the data obtained to extract information about pressure-coupled oscillatory combustion. In addition results are presented encompassing the research accomplished on solid propellant non-acoustic instability phenomena and on the developement of new type side-vented cylindrical burner utilizing premixed gaseous propellant.
