Abstract
This document is one of three volumes containing proceedings of the Second DOD Cost Research Symposium held 15 and 16 March 1967, in Arlington, Virginia. Volume I contains all unclassified papers. Papers for the Symposium were selected by members of the DOD Cost Research Committee. The two day session did not permit time to present all papers considered worthy. These, however, have been included as part of the proceedings. The purpose of the Symposium was to provide a forum for the interchange of ideas and techniques and to generate a greater awareness among personnel engaged in cost analysis of the potentialities of their profession and its importance for the effective operation of the Department of Defense. Three-hundred eighty-one representatives from the Department of Defense, other Government Agencies, and contractors performing cost research for DOD participated in the meeting.
