INTERNATIONAL SUMMER INSTITUTE IN QUANTUM CHEMISTRY, SOLID STATE PHYSICS AND QUANTUM BIOLOGY.
Abstract
The International Summer Institute in Quantum Chemistry, Solid State Physics and Quantum Biology was held in two parts: from 1-12 Aug 1967 at the Univ. of Uppsala, Sweden, and from 14 Aug - 2 Sep 1967 at Sjusjoen, Norway. This report describes only the second session. This was the 15th annual Summer Institute. The purpose of the Institutes is to provide a concentrated education in the quantum mechanics needed to understand the properties of matter. Fundamental quantum mechanics were treated; also the treatment of many-electron systems, symmetry properties of wave functions, valence theory, fundamental solid state physics, large molecules and quantum biology. Three Appendixes are to be found at the end of the Report. (Author)
