ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS OF MODIFIED SLED-BORNE DIGITIZER.

Abstract

A sled-borne digitizer was subjected to the following environmental tests to simulate the most severe rocket sled operating environment: A 1-minute, 100g centrifuge test along each of the three mutually perpendicular axes; a 2-minute, 50-2000-50 cps, 50g sine vibration sweep along each of the three mutually perpendicular axes; a 140g, 6.5ms half-sine shock pulse along an axis perpendicular to the mounting base, and a 130g, 6.5ms half-sine pulse along each of the two major axes parallel with the mounting base. There were no visible mechanical failures or electrical function degradations as a result of the testing. (Author)
