A REFINEMENT OF AN ESTABLISHED METHOD FOR COMPUTING CONFIDENCE LIMITS ON SYSTEM RELIABILITY.

Abstract

A statement of a method for obtaining an approximate lower 100 (1-alpha) % confidence limit on System Reliability is made. A discussion of evaluating the accuracy of this method on a digital computer is presented. Following this the development of a continuity correction factor is developed and the accuracies of this refinement for several hypothetical systems are presented and discussed. (Author)
