THE TEMPERATURE STRUCTURE OF THE TYRRHENIAN SEA IN OCTOBER.

Abstract

The analysis of the 196 BT dips taken in a small area of the Tyrrhenian Sea over a 7-day period in October 1966 is presented. It is shown that the water mass remained stable, showing neither appreciable temporal variation nor any correlation with topography. A cold layer at about 150m depth was observed occasionally.
